Job description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Saudi Arabia for a:
Operations Engineer
Job Purpose:
This position is a unique opportunity to Operate and monitor different type of pilot plants.
Your main duties will be to:-
• Ensure 24/7 operation (shift schedule)
• Pilot plant preparation, start-up, operation, troubleshooting and shut-down.
• Develop/plan work scope and schedule of pilot plant testing
• Perform simple mass balance calculation
• Apply Quality Management process related to operation
• Apply OHSAS requirements
• Process simulation for designing experimentation (Aspen HYSYS)
• PI System data management
• Maintain record of generated data and prepare reports related to pilot plant operation (PI System)
• Perform mass and energy balance calculation
• Provide work direction and day-to-day instruction to pilot plant operators
• Deal with Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and Process & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development, SIL studies (PHA and HAZOP)
• Review Engineering design changes, material & equipment specifications, and prepare technical and investigation reports
• Construction follow up, commissioning and start-up assistance
• Perform quality checks and verification of compliance to standards
Profile
Ideally you will have B.Sc of Chemical Engineering or equivalent with a Minimum of 10 years’ experience within Oil and Gas. Experience on Pilot Plants will be plus.
Good communication skills in English Language
