Job description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Qatar for:
Shutdown Execution Lead:
This position is Responsible for Lead the Shutdown preparation from Pre-Shutdown (SimOps) through to Post Shutdown (SimOps), ensuring compliance to the gating requirements and adherence to all
shutdown milestones.
Your main duties will be:
· Lead project shutdown execution activities, ensuring that Project Core Values, i.e. Safety Quality and Integrity as well as are enforced at all times during the preparation and execution of the shutdowns sby the Contractor.,
· Lead the shutdown team to ensure the safety, administrative and operational aspects of shutdowns are monitored, and the performance targets are being met and highlight to PMT’s attention any signs of poor performance and take the lead for providing immediate corrective actions proposals
· Ensures overall compliance with shutdown Execution Plans, specifications, and procedures, especially Shutdown Management System Process by promoting effective communication and team working together with best practice sharing to improve operational efficiencies.
· Lead key interfaces with continuous and regular communication, meetings and site visits, as applicable, with all stakeholders including but not limited to Operations, PMT and EPC Contractor.
· Lead the preparation for shutdown activities, ensuring adequate scope components are well captured and progressed, identifying critical activities and providing leads for efficient monitoring and issues solving to ensure set objectives are achieved.. Contribute to the roles and responsibilities definition to ensure an efficient preparation and execution of the full EPCO program of brownfield and shutdown activities.
· Lead or contribute to project workshops related to Execution such as, Constructability, Risk Assessments, Shutdown Readiness, etc., as well as ensuring timely resolution to problems and challenges through best practices, industry standards and knowledge gained from personal experience.
· Lead the execution of the shutdown activities including the early detailed planning of the preshutdown, shutdown & post-shut down activities, the associated gating requirements and ensuring a robust, scalable and repeatable EPCO shutdown management program is put in place.
· Lead the contractor performance through leadership and coaching to ensure teams understand the work processes, implementation and performance monitoring, resulting in the timely mobilisation of quality resources and effectiveness of site personnel.
· Implement effective interaction with Project Team, departments and contractors to resolve issues and ensure execution is aligned with best practices in shutdown planning,
preparation and reliability in line with approved schedule and costs.
· Attend and lead regular shutdown progress meetings on behalf of the Company.
Profile
· Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or equivalent execution experience
· 20 years’ experience working within oil and gas industry in a Project Execution related environment with experience of offshore projects, engineering, operations and having at least 15 years of extensive experience in offshore project execution and shutdowns, most of them in a supervisory role.
· Excellent spoken and written English skills.
· Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
· Strong leadership, coordination and interface skills.
· Good negotiating and influencing skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
