We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Doha LLC for a:
Technical Contract Assistant
Job Purpose:
This position is a unique opportunity to Assists the Contract Administrator to prepare Tender/Contract Scope of Work and prepare, develop Contract Work Orders and service type Purchase Orders for Plant activities. Assist in the administration of all existing and newly awarded Contracts, Contract Work Orders and Purchase Orders of Maintenance Department. Assist in the preparation of Tender Scope of Work and subsequent administration of shutdown contract and other related shutdown activities. Assist the Contract Administrator to develop accurate estimates at the time of budget preparation, checks invoices accurately for payment and review cost reports
Your main duties will be to: -
· Assists the Contract Administrator in defining accurately and technically the user’s requirements and converting them into Contract Work Order (CWO) Scope of Work (with input whenever required from end-users). For small-scale jobs, prepare the entire CWO Scope of Work and document it for comment/endorsement by Contract Administrator, Head of Planning and Maintenance Manager.
· Assists the Contractor Administrator in preparing Contracts/Contract Work Orders, Tender Bids, evaluation documents (with inputs whenever required from end-users) for review/endorsement by requestor, hierarchy, STC or LTC.
· Arranges Contractor Site Visits (faxes, site passes, on-site transportation and meals, etc. whenever required). Arrange Contracted persons mobilization and assist in conducting interview, bringing in replacement candidates, preparing gate passes, safety induction trainings, etc.
· Follow-up and coordinate with the contractor and the end users with the mobilization of Contractor manpower and related other activities.
· Involved in a variety of activities such as preparing official correspondence, mobilization of manpower, plant & equipment, mobilizing vendor engineers/supervisors and other relevant requirement during planned and un-planned shutdowns (turnarounds).
· Keeps the Contractor mobilization status report up-to-date on a monthly basis. Keeps upto-date record of Shutdown Contractor manpower, plant and equipment mobilization and other records related to shutdowns (turnarounds).
· Assists the Contract Administrator to develop accurate estimates for contracts, contract work orders, purchase orders, etc. at the time of budget preparation for new financial
year.

Profile
Ideally you will have Completion of Higher Secondary (12 years) education with minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative jobs, out of which 3 years in preparation of tender scope of work, contracts and contract administration and cost controlling including knowledge of contractual principles and practices, and legal and commercial systems and standards.
Skills required:
The candidate should be fluent in written and spoken English. Should be able to handle day to day correspondence independently.
Good working knowledge of computer system and software such as SAP, Microsoft Business Software like outlook, excel, word, etc.
