Job description

Mission 1: Comply with and ensure compliance with project contract, project scope of work, instructions, general specifications including other related engineering standards.

 Activities:

He or she:

  • Shall perform comprehensive RBI according to project contract and project scope of work.
  • Shall be familiarized with all applicable general specifications and related engineering standards.
  • Shall establish technical link between engineering, general specifications, engineering standards and fully integrate the technical link into RBI methodology or components.
  • Proactively highlight any engineering best practices or standards into RBI methodology or components as part of Inspection Team continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Vigilantly highlight any technical engineering deviations or non-conformance or unacceptable risk to superior hierarchy level.

Mission 2: Producing high quality of RBI.

 Activities:

He or she:

  • Perform engineering study, analysis and review on local legislation requirements as well as other associated engineering documentations
  • Perform technical data consolidation based on existing technical documentations and new site survey data.
  • Perform comprehensive RBI study, analysis and reports.
  • Provide RBI input and support for write up of Inspection Strategy, Written Scheme of Examination and other related technical documentations or reports.
  • Responsible for providing engineering technical solution, proposal or any other engineering deliverables govern under project scope of work.

Mission 3: Producing high quality Inspection deliverables

 Activities:

He or she:

  • Supports Fitness For services analysis
  • Supports engineering study, analysis and review on local legislation requirements as well as other associated engineering documentations for all work packages.
  • Supports technical data consolidation and engineering analysis on all work packages.
  • Supports write up on Inspection Strategy, Written Scheme of Examination and other technical documentations or reports.
  • Responsible for providing engineering technical solution, proposal or any other engineering deliverables govern under project scope of work.

Profile

Knowledge:

  • Shall have experiences in performing RBI according to international standards using any applicable RBI software.
  • Shall have good experience and familiar with piping and other related appurtenances such as fittings, valves, deadleg etc.
  • Shall have good knowledge in damage mechanism related to piping/Pressure vessels, structure
  • Shall have basic or overview of Oil & Gas industry field including operational, processes etc.
  • Shall be familiar with API, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, NDT, BS ISO, NFPA and NACE.
  • Shall have good understanding on HSE, QA/QC and professional ethics.

Know-how:

  • Produce credible, reliable and realistic RBI outcomes to highly safe guard integrity of equipment.

Person profile:

  • Minimum experience as RBI engineer associated with Fitness for Service: 5 years
  • Certified with valid API580/API 579 or any other international certifications.
  • Familiar and had experience working at site/field.
  • Familiar and had experience in producing RBI deliverables.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt with applicable RBI software.
  • Ability to perform good responsibilities of RBI engineer including good communication skill, teamwork etc.
  • Possess additional API 570 and/or API 510 certification is an advantage.
