We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Doha for a:
Diesel Engine Mechanic (Field Maintenance)
Job Purpose:
This position is a unique opportunity Carry out as directed daily repair activities associated with the club car, Diesel Generators (Diesel Engine, Hydraulic system), Crane, including preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
Your main duties will be to:-
· Check, diagnose & repair Hydraulic, Mechanical, pneumatic Equipment system of Diesel equipment / vehicle.
· Diagnose / Troubleshooting of failure of Diesel Generators and recommend solution.
· Understanding of the Standards Relating to Equipment.
· Carry out checks, diagnose, repairs, overhaul of diesel generators and equipment using diesel generators.
· Carry out Injection pump calibrations, Diesel engine overhaul and system checking.
Profile
Ideally you will have Trade Certificate from a recognized Institution or minimum Higher Secondary School Education with A minimum of 5 years’ experience, of which at least 3 years should be post-trade, in a Maintenance role in Oil & Gas Industry / petrochemical / process plant.
Skills required:
· Must understand and be able to carry out checks, diagnose, repairs, overhaul of diesel generators and be familiar with equipment using diesel generators.
· Familiar with Injection pump calibrations, Diesel engine overhaul and system checking.
· A strong focus on safety is paramount and practical know-how of permit to work systems and lock out procedures applicable to LNG / Petrochemical plants is required.
· Ability to work in a multinational environment.
· Familiar with and experienced in working with H2S rich processes, water handling equipment,
· desalination plant, waste systems and general utility services
