Job description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Doha for a:
Diesel Engine Mechanic (Field Maintenance)
Job Purpose:
This position is a unique opportunity be responsible to carry out survey, erect, dismantle scaffolding in plants.
Your main duties will be to:-
· Ensure safe procedures and job is carried out as per JSA.
· Understand the procedure of safe scaffold and follow the procedure for the erection and dismantling of scaffolding at offshore.
· Ensure all PPE’s are used.
· Erect, dismantle scaffolding in running plants, shutdowns as per requirement at offshore.
· Check the quality of pipes, planks, clamps used.
· Proper storage of scaffolding materials.
Profile
Ideally you will have Minimum Higher Secondary School Education and Class-A Certified Scaffolders training certificate with A minimum of 5 years work experience with a minimum of 3 years at Oil and LNG Plant or Petrochemical plant environment.
Trade Certificate / Specialized Trainings: Certified Riggers / Slingers training certificate by an approved certifying authority. In-house or third-party training (basic scaffolding
erection) by trainer certified to Construction skills/CISRS.
H2S / HUET Trained and Certified.
Proficient in the preparation, erecting and dismantling the scaffolding material. Knowledge of various scaffolding material types and applications.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Conversant with PC and average to good typing capabilities (minimum 45 w.p.m).
